When you think about reading a book, do you wonder why should you read it?

Why is this book so special compared to another?

Well here is where I will explain about how I used 6 unique features in my book, A Woman’s Worth? to make it unique.

Book features will change the dynamics of your book

1.

The use of multiple points of views (POVs) for characters

As a writer, you would not usually choose this use, as to not confuse readers of what character is speaking each time. I managed to use multiple points of views with my characters by splitting the book into two. The first half of the book I focused on two characters and how their paths crossed. Then the second half focused on the other two characters and how their paths crossed. As a result, I could conclude and combine the novel together to reveal how the characters all shared the same DNA.

2.

The setting of the book

I wanted the reader to feel they were part of the book, be a character themselves. This was enabled by using the setting of a woman’s convention. This bought to life, the ability to include the self help sheets I wanted in between pages.

3.

Combination of book use

It is a joint novel and self-help guide. As well as understanding it is fictitious, you are able to use the book in reality for your own needs and preferences.

4.

Commandments

As the book target audience was for young women, I thought I’d give them a set of 25 commandments to live by from the lessons I’d learnt along my journey to adulthood.

5.

A ‘ I need help’ section at the back of the back of the book

After putting a substantial amount of topics which could conjure up past traumatic experiences for readers, that I could not prevent. I contacted various known charities that were qualified in certain areas, whom readers could be signposted and get any help they needed.

6.

Statistics

It is a fictitious novel with fictitious characters but the topics mentioned are no way fictitious. Therefore the statistics show the realness of the problems that are evidently around in the world today.

I hope by reading this, it has given you some ideas on how you make your novel unique. If you want a full example on how it worked throughout my book, click on this link: https://www.amazon.com/author/chloerebekah Here you’ll be directed to my Author on Amazon.
